Annual Meeting

ESG holds an annual meeting for it's 1,200 members. During the annual meeting, the National ESG Office holds a board meeting open to all ESG members to learn about new initiatives and updates from the National ESG Office; an award and scholarship ceremony to recognize the outstanding work of our local ESG chapters and ESG members making an impact in health education and promotion; and  the presentation of NCHEC Outstanding Undergraduate Major of the Year Award. ESG holds this annual meeting in conjunction with SOPHE's Annual Conference. The ESG Annual Meeting is free to attend and is usually held on the first day of the SOPHE Annual Conference. As a result, ESG attendees are able to attend both conferences; network with other professionals in the field; learn more about new trends and initiatives in the field; and engage in professional development and earn CEUs for CHES, MCHES, and CPH.

ESG 2025 Annual Meeting

The National ESG Office is happy to announce that we will be back in 2025 with SOPHE in Long Beach, California from April 16 - 18, 2025. 


The theme for this year is: Waves of Change: Embracing Diversity and Technology for Equity and Wellness. This years annual meeting will also be celebrating 75 years of SOPHE! 


While registration to the ESG 2025 Annual Meet is free, if you would like to attend any or all of the 2025 SOPHE Annual Conference, you will need to register.

ESG Call for Abstracts 

The National ESG Office and SOPHE would love to see the chapter activities your members have plan, implemented, and evaluated in teaching, research, service, and advocacy! ESG students can submit their work to present at the 2025 SOPHE Annual Conference. All ESG abstracts will be submitted and undergo the peer-review process though SOPHE. 

To Submit an Abstract:

  • Vist the SOPHE Annual Conference Abstract Submission page. 
  • Develop your abstract based on the SOPHE guidelines. 
  • When submitting your abstract,  you will be prompted with a question about if you are an ESG member. Please select "yes" for this question. 
  • Once you have submitted your abstract, it will undergo the peer-review process. 
  • If your abstract is accepted, you will receive an email from SOPHE with confirmation and more information about your presentation. If you were not selected, you will receive an email from SOPHE with that decision.
