Filmed at the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) annual conference in March of 2017, the video features Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) and Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES®) practitioners from a variety of work settings. Video participants offer advice and guidance on the value and process of NCHEC certification for individuals entering careers in the field of health education and promotion, as well as advanced-level practitioners seeking higher level skills validation.

This webinar will provide tips and strategies geared to assist ESG chapter sponsors with enhancing their chapter’s experiences and opportunities. Beginning with the end in mind, the ESG chapter annual report will serve as the roadmap for preparing a chapter’s academic year. This roadmap will also assist chapter sponsors with applying for chapter annual awards, as well as professional development and travel grants.

An open discussion between two officers and the chapter sponsor from the Alpha Lambda chapter at the University of Florida will present strategies that worked, did not work, and those that we want to try in the future. A few of the highlighted strategies include regular chapter meetings, keeping members informed, planning and engaging in high-quality experiences, and chapter professional development experiences.
