Travel and Professional Development Grants are designed to assist with chapters’ efforts to provide professional development to their membership. These funds may be used to support travel to and attendance at professional meetings and conferences. State and national professional conferences, invited speakers, and local training workshops are eligible for funding.
Before submitting an application to fund a workshop or training, chapters are encouraged to contact the Executive Director with any questions. Funding is limited and is based, in part, upon the percentage of member involvement. When applying for chapter development grants to fund workshops, professional training, or invited speakers, chapters are encouraged to collaborate with other regional chapters. Submission dates for project, travel and professional development grants are rolling, but should be submitted with sufficient lead time to allow for planning and review prior to travel. Grant applications for past travel will not be accepted.
A formal proposal for the Travel and Professional Development Grant is not required. Submit the application, ensuring that it includes the chapter sponsor agreement.
Chapters must have submitted the previous year’s annual report (with the chapter’s budget information) to be eligible for funding.
