Travel and Professional Development Grants are designed to assist with chapters’ efforts to provide professional development to their membership. These funds may be used to support travel to and attendance at professional meetings and conferences. State and national professional conferences and local training events are eligible for funding. Funding is available as follows:
- National conferences: Up to $200 per student member with a maximum of $1,000 per chapter per year.
- State conferences: Up to $100 per student member with a maximum of $500 per chapter per year.
- Local workshops and professional training: Up to $250 per chapter per year.
- A total maximum of $5,000 has been set aside for 2023-24.
Submission dates for 2023-24 are due February 1, 2024, but should be submitted with sufficient lead time to allow for planning and review prior to travel. If expenses were incurred during fall 2023, please submit for consideration for reimbursement.
Submit the application, ensuring that it includes the chapter sponsor agreement.
NOTE: Chapters must have submitted the previous year’s annual report (with the chapter’s budget information) to be eligible for funding.
