21 Nov Celebrate Random Act of Kindness with Eta Sigma Gamma!
Over the past few years, Random Act of Kindness (RAK) Day has been celebrated in November. This year, RAK Day is celebrated on November 24. This date also happens to be Black Friday. Alpha Lambda Chapter (University of Florida) and Eta Chapter (Central Michigan University), on behalf of National Eta Sigma Gamma, are inviting chapters to participate in a Random Acts of Kindness celebration. However, instead of limiting this celebration to one day, ESG chapters are invited to participate for the rest of the month of November. In light of the many hurricanes which especially impacted Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, the goal of ESG’s Random Acts of Kindness celebration will be to collect monetary donations for all states and countries affected by hurricanes this fall. Each chapter will solicit for donations, and then send a check to National Eta Sigma Gamma. The National office will collect all donations and send a check to the American Red Cross.
No donation is too small! We hope that each Chapter will work hard to collect monetary donations. Please report your successes using Eta Sigma Gamma social media accounts. The deadline for all donations is Friday, December 1!
To make this Random Acts of Kindness celebration a little more interesting, the Chapter that collects the most money per member will be recognized at our national meeting at SOPHE, as well as on the National ESG website and in The Vision Newsletter!
Your chapter may send a check to the National Office or chapters or individuals may donate here. Please place your chapter name in the last name box on the online form to help us keep track of chapter donations.
