ESG Opportunities at SOPHE 2016

ESG Opportunities at SOPHE 2016

Greetings, Gammans!

We look forward to seeing all Gammans at the 67th Annual SOPHE conference in Charlotte, NC at the end of this month.  We hope that you will participate in the ESG events scheduled during the SOPHE conference. Please see below for a complete schedule of ESG events occurring during the SOPHE conference.  Included with this message you will also find a handy event calendar for students attending SOPHE!

Note: More detailed information (including room locations for all events) will be included in the SOPHE conference program.

The ESG Board of Directors would like to extend an invitation to all Gammans (students and professionals!) to attend the National ESG Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, March 31, from 1-4pm.  During the business meeting members of the National ESG Executive Board will provide reports/updates on the National Chapter; and, Chapter, Student, and Professional award winners will be honored during the awards ceremony.

Immediately following the Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony, NCHEC (along with National ESG) will recognize the Undergraduate Student of the Year honorees.  National ESG will then conclude this celebratory afternoon with the annual ESG t-shirt exchange!  Please inform all students (chapter sponsors can participate, too!) who wish to participate to bring a new (never worn) and clean t-shirt from their local ESG chapter.  It is recommended that students bring a t-shirt that is the same size as one that they hope to receive during the t-shirt exchange.  If you have any questions about the t-shirt exchange, please contact Leigh Szucs (leigh.szucs@hlkn.tamu.edu), Student Member-At-Large for National ESG.

Additionally, throughout the SOPHE conference ESG will oversee the SOPHE Wellness Challenge.  Bring your step tracking device and plan to explore Charlotte to compete for an awesome prize!  Stop by the ESG exhibit table during the conference to sign-up for the SOPHE Wellness Challenge.  The FIRST 100 Gammans to stop by the exhibit table will receive an AWESOME ESG souvenir!

Looking forward to seeing you all in Charlotte!
